Someone told me today that if you feed a dog pumpkin it won't eat it's own poo, not that I knew that could be a problem! Apparently they don't like the smell of the pumpkin , presumably after it has been eaten.
I love feeding the gang canned pumpkin - if they will eat it! But they always seem in much better shape when they do. Usually I resort to it in times of irregularity. (How are you, Parlance and Penny? It must be close to summer there?)
we raw feed and we often see pumpkin recommended as a supplement and for bowel issues. sadly it`s hard to get hold of here.
ReplyDeleteMom says she needs to look for some pumpkin for us! Thank you for the info, Penny!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥

Mitch and Molly, I think you'll like pumpkin. Penny loves it cooked or raw. I suspect cooked may be easier on her stomach.
