One great place was right next to the resort. It had a lovely deep pool on the Tarra River for dogs to swim, and a rocky waterfall where humans could sit with their feet in the water. However, one kilometre down the road was a spot I liked even better, and Penny adored - also on the Tarra.
We also drove about thirty kilometres to Port Albert, where there is a calm bay (no waves at all on the two occasions Penny swam there) and a lovely walk along the shore. The dogs jumped into the water beside the path at one stage and cooled off among the mangroves, but in general we just walked along the path.

What an ideal vacation! Sounds like the perfect vacation spot for all…
Teddy received his Canine Good Citizen Award a few weeks ago…so proud!...maybe we'll try catching up to you and Penny and take a Canine Doggy Dance class next!
Penny has been a great inspiration for us!
...still enjoying all of Penny's lovely adventures narrated by her Mom Parlance!
Congratulations to Teddy. I'm coming across right now to read all about it.
What a nice vacation. I like the last picture, it looks like Penny is saying, hurry up -- there's more to see over here... Looks like a great vacation.
Lassiter Chase, I'm feeling a bit guilty, because Penny might have been telling me she was having fun but she had a sore paw. It was only the next day I noticed she was limping. It's all okay again, now. She had a little cut, I think, and licked it into a bigger one.
