dangers for dogs in the kitchen

There's an interesting video on PetPlace.com about chocolate, grapes and uncooked dough. We are always careful about the first two, but it was a shock to realise bread dough is so dangerous, both in terms of bloat and of alcohol poisoning. If Penny were to eat a bit of uncooked dough, she would be in for a double dose of danger.

We can well understand the bread dough seeing as it rises. We love bread but we don't get it unless it's been baked.

Love ya lots

Maggie and Mitch, it has made me think twice about one of my favorite snacks - uncooked dough! But maybe our stomachs are different?

Dang, we never knew about the dangers of uncooked bread dough. Melissa LOVES to bake & she used to bake bread almost everyday. Luckily, we were never given any of it. Imagine that dough expanding in our tummies? That would hurt so bad. We have been given cookie doughs though. I guess that one is okay since it doesn't have yeast in it & it won't expand but the raw eggs in the dough & even cake batters makes my hoomie worried sometimes hence she will only let us have a taste.

Thanks for sharing this video!

Amber-Mae, Penny loves dough also. I think you're right that dough with actual yeast is the most dangerous. But we won't give her any dough at all from now on
