rorschach dog

Have I perhaps crossed some invisible line between enjoying blogging and becoming compulsive about it? This morning, in the shower, I looked down at the washcloth daubed with a patch of liquid soap and had to leap out, grab a camera and take a photo for this blog.

Why? Because of the dog-related blot of soap on the cloth. Like a very clean Rorschach test item.

Here it is:

Obviously a West Highland white Terrier, as this almost identically matching photo shows:

It's uncanny!

I quite often see poodles in the clouds. How silly does that sound...?

I can relate with all the camera-ready moments. I guess I can't quite see the dog though. Could it be like one of those optical illusions where it's either the vase or the faces?

Jake, tell your human there's a whole meanagerie up there in the clouds, not just poodles. I myself have seen elephants and whales on occasion.

Oops. Jake, it might be mean up there in the clouds, but it's a menagerie, not a meanagerie.

Two Pitties, you seem to be on the same wavelength as my sister, who said it looks like some white stuff on a piece of towelling.

I think I saw it! It has a band across its eyes and is sniffing a leaf or butterfly.

Mary, at last you see it!

To me it looks like we're looking at the rear view of it, but it has its head turned on the left hand side to sniff something.

Camera related moments: YES!

Westie: NO :(

But I looked at the pic first before I read the post and I saw a map of Australia...

Doozer, Yes!! I hadn't realised it was a rear view, and was confused about whether it was in yoga 'cat' position, which of course would be anathema to a dog. Now I understand - it is so clearly from behind.

Teal'c, at first I didn't see it, but then I Googled a simple map of Australia and looked at them side-by-side, and you are right. Whew! This was one interesting dab of soap.
