Well, what a fun evening!
Penny ran for the first time in front of a crowd of strangers. The first time, she forgot it's all about the ball and came racing back without it!
But the second time she did it beautifully.
And then...she ran in a team for the first time!
And as for the vexed question of the crate? The super expensive large one we bought was so heavy we couldn't get it out of the car!
Luckily someone let us use their spare crate.
And the kind lady who sold us the eBay one may let us exchange it for a larger one - a LIGHT one that we can carry.

Wow, Penny! You did a really great job at the Show! Wish I could do all those cool stuff too!
Hope you have a great weekend!
Scottie
Way to go, Penny! Look at how fast you run!
The first crate LS bought was big and heavy too. It was so hard to load it into the car whenever she takes me travelling. It practically took up the whole back seat. Imagine her struggling with it for such a long time before it hit her to buy a small travelling carrier.
Happy, It's so good to hear that I'm not the only human who takes a long time to work things out! I think I'll end up doing the same thing - keep the big one for home use, or for use right near the car, and buy a light one for other times.
thanks, Scottie. Penny had fun, that's for sure. I hope your mum's arm starts to improve soon.
Bravo Penny !
Oh Penny! That was so exciting!!! Just watching you - I could barely keep my paws still! :-) I've always wanted to try Flyball and my human thinks I might be quite good for it coz I'm OBSESSED with tennis balls...but we couldn't really find anywhere to do it here in NZ so maybe when we move to Oz next year, we'll be able to try it out! Can't wait!
Slobbers,
Honey the Great Dane
Wow! Honey is moving to Australia! I'm coming right over to your blog to ask you where you are moving to.
Slavenka, thanks!
Fabulous videos. Looks like a lot of fun for everyone. Shame about the crate, but I am sure that extra lifting helped with toning up the biceps!
Look forward to hearing more about Penny's adventures.
Marion, lugging that crate around will certainly achieve something, but I don't know whether it will be "toning". Maybe it will be "straining", lol.
I enjoyed your blog on textiles in Australia and I've joined as a follower, but anonymously.
I'm not really sure how "following" works. What I usually do is follow blogs on Google Reader, actually.
Oh wow!!! Super cool! Penny did so great!!!! I've been asked to be on flyball teams a lot of times, but alas...
Johann, you are such an all-rounder that I'm sure you'd enjoy flyball, but in the end there are only so many hours in the week, aren't there?
