Penny's feeling unhappy

Sometimes it's so easy to read a dog's body language. is this a happy dog?

No, you reply.

And why? Because today she had a piece cut out of her poor sore paw and sent off for testing. It's been months now that she's had a problem with a sore paw, so the vet and I decided to investigate further.

When I see her feeling so bad, I regret the necessity for this little surgery. But it's in her interest to try to find out what's bothering her about her foot.

Here's hoping we can solve the problem soon.

Thanks, Mitch and Slavenka! Penny leaped up this morning when the neighbor dog barked, raced down a flight of steps to the back yard and checked for intruders, and then she sat down and her body language said, 'Oh, oh, oh, I have a really sore paw! Who's going to come and lug my 16 kilogram weight back into the house?'
No one did, I'm sorry to report. She had to limp back all by herself.

Thanks, proud womon. Penny's feeling lots better already, in terms of the actual site of the biopsy. Let's just hope the lab results tell us what's going on.
